Terms of use
These terms are between you and Sandhya G B (“we”), who publish Study Hamlet. By using Study Hamlet or creating an account you agree to them and to the Privacy notice. If you are a parent or guardian, you agree on behalf of any child who uses Study Hamlet under your supervision.
1. Who can use Study Hamlet
Anyone can use Study Hamlet on their own device without an account. To create an account you must be 13 or older, or be a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older. Children under 13 may not create an account themselves: a parent or legal guardian may create a child profile for them in Settings, and is responsible for it.
2. Your account
You can sign in with an email address or, if you choose, a username. Pick a username that is not your real name and is not offensive; we may change or remove usernames that are. A username account has no email, so a forgotten password cannot be reset: keep it safe. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information, and use one account per person. You can delete your account at any time in Settings or by following these steps.
3. Your content
Your notes, tasks and attachments belong to you. You give us permission only to store, copy and display them to you, and to back them up, so the service works. Don’t store anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else’s rights, or anything you do not have the right to share. Please don’t put sensitive personal details in your notes.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to Study Hamlet or other people’s accounts; don’t use automated tools to create accounts or scrape the service; and don’t use Study Hamlet to harass others or break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.
5. The games and rewards
Study tokens, gold, timber and game items have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold or exchanged. Study Hamlet has no in-app purchases. The games contain fantasy combat. We may change or remove features, rewards or game content as Study Hamlet develops.
6. Study, wellbeing and the AI helper
Study Hamlet is a study aid, not professional, medical or educational advice. We make no promise about exam results or grades. Take breaks, and stop if you feel unwell.
Do not attach pictures of other people to the AI helper without their permission, and do not upload pictures that are private, unlawful or not yours to share.
If you use Audio to notes you must have permission from everyone who can be heard before you record or upload audio. Do not record private conversations, or lessons or meetings where recording is not allowed, and check the rules at your school or workplace. You are responsible for what you record.
The optional AI helper uses artificial intelligence and can make mistakes. Check important answers in a textbook or with a teacher, and never rely on it for medical, legal, safety or emotional-support advice. Don’t put personal details in your questions, and don’t use it to cheat on assessments you must do yourself or to ask for harmful, hateful or illegal content. We limit how many questions each person can ask a day and may switch the helper off for an account that misuses it. A child profile can use it only if a parent or guardian switches it on.
7. Availability and backups
We work to keep Study Hamlet running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own backup with Settings → Export journal.
8. Our responsibility
Study Hamlet is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data you did not back up. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Ending
You may stop using Study Hamlet at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or the service is discontinued; if we discontinue it we will give notice in the app and a chance to export your journal.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above will change, and signed-in users will be told in the app. Continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of India, without removing any consumer protection that applies where you live.
